# **What happened to Fiwfans, and why look-alike sites are a risk**
Fiwfans was one of Thailand's biggest sideline websites until Thai police shut it down in 2025. "Fiwfans" is still the word everyone uses for sidelines with a girlfriend experience, but the original website is gone. This page sums up what officials and news outlets reported, and what visitors, sidelines and agencies should check before sharing data or money with a site using a similar name.

## **The short version**
- Jan 2025: Police shut down Fiwfans and arrested five of its admins.
- May 2025: It reopened under a new name and URL and was raided again; 10 more people were arrested.
- Jun 2025: A site called Fiwfan (no "s") appeared. Its own FAQ says it is "the same platform" as Fiwfans.
- TSG Sideline has no connection to any of these sites.
## **What happened to Fiwfans**
Fiwfans (ฟิวแฟน) ran for more than four years as a sideline advertising site, on domains including fiwfans.io and fiwfans.vip. The name stuck so well that "fiwfans" became the everyday word for sidelines with a girlfriend experience.
1. **2023**### **Investigation opens**
Police began investigating the network. Before the main operation, at least one person linked to it had already been sentenced to more than 16 years in prison.
2. **24 Jan 2025**### **Operation "Shut Down Fiwfans"**
The Royal Thai Police Anti-Human Trafficking Center announced the arrest of five site admins and the rescue of two girls aged 16 and 17. Officers searched six locations in and around Bangkok and seized or froze more than 40 million baht in assets. Police said the site earned over 100 million baht, was linked to more than 3 billion baht in circulating funds, and carried listings from about 46,000 women. The admins took payment through TrueMoney top-ups routed through online games and made the site look hosted abroad, hiding who they were and where the money went.
3. **3 May 2025**### **Back under a new name, raided again**
Cyber police received reports that the site had reopened as "FWFan" with a changed URL and the same format, and arrested 10 more people. Police said that within two months it listed more than 2,000 people at over 150 locations nationwide, and asked the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to block it.
4. **27 Jun 2025**### **A look-alike site appears**
The domain for a site called Fiwfan (no "s") was registered after both police operations. Its FAQ answers "What's the difference between Fiwfan 2 and Fiwfans?" with "It's the same platform" (translated from Thai). [](https://cdn.tsgsideline.com/images/advisories/fiwfans/fiwfan-faq-2026-10-09.webp)

## **Why look-alike names are a risk**
Nobody outside a site using the Fiwfans name can confirm who runs it, and that's the point. Either way, the risk lands on you.
### **If it really is the same operator**
You'd be trusting your data and money to a platform police have already shut down twice.
### **If it isn't**
A familiar name tells you nothing about who actually runs it.
### **Your personal data**
Phone numbers, LINE IDs, photos, chats and ID documents all sit with whoever runs the site. When a site is shut down and its devices seized, that data can end up in a case file, or with people you've never met.
### **Your money**
Police said Fiwfans took payments through channels built to be hard to trace. Fiwfan's privacy policy says it collects payment data, including wallet or account details for receiving payments. Money sent to a site whose operator you can't identify is very hard to get back.
### **Impersonation**
Well-known names attract scams: messages claiming to be the Fiwfans team asking for unlock fees, verification fees or deposits. Don't pay anyone just because they use a name you recognize.

## **What to do**
### **Visitors and tourists**
- Don't pay deposits, membership fees or unlock fees to a website. Agree price and terms with the profile owner directly.
- Be wary of messages claiming to be the Fiwfans team or "the new Fiwfans site".
- Don't send ID card photos, passport pages or bank details to a site that won't say who runs it.
- If you reused your Fiwfans password anywhere else, change it now.
### **Sidelines and agencies**
- Before you upload photos or ID, find out who keeps them, for how long, and whether you can really delete them.
- If a site charges you, know who you're paying, which company or person, and keep proof of payment.
- A listing site shouldn't take a cut of your earnings. Police said FWFan took 40%.
- Check whether your photos are being used elsewhere without permission. If you find them on TSG, report the profile and we'll remove impersonations.
- When you stop using a site, ask it to delete your account and photos. Don't leave a profile behind.
## ***How TSG Sideline is different***
We're a separate operator with no connection to Fiwfans, FWFan or Fiwfan, online since 2020. Here's what we stand by.
- **Free to post**
- Sidelines, independent sidelines and agencies post for free. Visitors browse and make contact for free.
- **No money through us**
- TSG takes no payments, has no top-ups, collects no deposits and takes no cut of anything you agree between yourselves. If someone claiming to be TSG asks you to transfer money, it isn't us.
- **Only the data we need**
- We keep only what we need to run the service and prevent abuse. We don't sell personal data, and you can request account deletion through our published process.
- **Encrypted connections, private storage**
- Every connection to TSG is encrypted. Files used for identity verification are kept in private storage and never shown publicly.
- **Active moderation**
- We remove around 100 suspicious or fraudulent profiles a month and treat reports of minors or coercion as urgent. TSG is for adults aged 20 and over.
## **Frequently asked questions**
**Is the Fiwfans website still open? **
No. Police shut Fiwfans down in January 2025, and when it came back as FWFan it was raided again in May 2025. The sites using similar names today opened later.
**Is Fiwfan or Fiwfan 2 the original Fiwfans? **
That site says in its own FAQ that it is the same platform, but there is no public information confirming who runs it. Its domain was registered on 27 Jun 2025, after both police operations. Weigh the risks on this page before you use it.
**Is TSG Sideline connected to Fiwfans? **
No. TSG is run completely separately. We use the word "fiwfans" because it's what people call sidelines with a girlfriend experience, not because we're the same site.
**What does "fiwfans" mean? **
Fiwfans (ฟิวแฟน) means sidelines who offer a girlfriend experience. It started as a website's name and stuck as the everyday word. Today people search "sideline fiwfans" to find that kind of sideline, not the old website.
**Do I have to pay to use TSG? **
No. Sidelines and agencies post for free, and visitors browse and make contact for free. TSG takes no payments or deposits; agree price and terms with the profile owner directly.
**I used Fiwfans before. What should I do? **
Change any password you shared with Fiwfans, be wary of messages claiming to be the Fiwfans team or offering "account recovery", and never pay to unlock or move an account to a new site.
**I advertised on Fiwfans. Can I move to TSG? **
Yes. Sign up and post a new profile for free, with photos and details that are genuinely yours. Independent sidelines and agencies are both welcome.
